Natural colours : Bundle dyeing workshop : June 7th

WHERE

This is an outdoor event and will be held at a public park in central Malmö (Pildammsaparken or Kungsparken): As the event location is slightly weather dependent the exact location will be confirmed one week before with an email being sent to all participants. Please not for accessibility that we will most likely be sitting on picnic rugs on the grass (tables and chairs may not be available).

LANGUAGE

This class will be taught in English. For this course we can also hold individual discussions in Swedish, French and Spanish.

DESCRIPTION

This is an outdoor park event held together with Verónica Rendón ( @au.campo_ ). Together we will bundle dye fabric with flowers and natural pigments. Verónica is currently working with us at The Cloth Lab on a special collaboration and is usually based in Paris, where she works doing specialty dyeing for the Opera as well as holding workshops with natural dyes as part of a community garden project.

This is a casual outdoor event and you are very welcome to bring your kids along to co-create if you like, but please note we only have enough equipment and materials to supply one length of fabric per paying participant. 

*Places are limited so make sure you book your spot in advance.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

All materials and equipment are included: We will supply each participant with 1.2 metres of organic cotton poplin. 

*This is enough to make a top and works particularly well for zero waste patterns. If you would like to turn your fabric into a garment with us at a later date you are welcome to sign up to any of our suitable courses and bring this along with you.

A simple FIKA will also be provided (coffee and cakes)

WHAT TO BRING

A picnic rug or something to sit on. You can also bring a small selection of flowers you have picked on the way (not essential as we do have more for you to use, but this is a nice way to experiment).
